- Commercial Name: Hardwood Sawdust Charcoal – Premium Grade
- Product Code: SC-01
- Origin: Vietnam
Hardwood Sawdust Charcoal is a premium clean-burning charcoal produced from 100% natural sawdust that has been screened, purified, and dried before processing. The product is manufactured through a high-pressure screw briquetting process combined with heated molds at approximately 250°C, allowing the wood particles to bond naturally through the lignin contained in the wood itself without the use of any chemicals or artificial binders.
After briquetting, the product undergoes carbonization and high-temperature thermal refining to remove most remaining moisture, natural oils, resins, and volatile compounds. As a result, the charcoal delivers exceptionally clean combustion with almost no smoke and no noticeable odor, while providing high heat output, long burning time, and stable heat performance. Its dense structure also helps minimize breakage during transportation and handling.
Hardwood Sawdust Charcoal is widely used for BBQ restaurants, Japanese and Korean grilling concepts, hotels, food-service operations, cooking, and applications that require a clean, reliable, and premium-quality fuel source.

In the past, sawdust was commonly considered a low-value by-product or waste material, often disposed of through open burning, landfilling, or simple treatment methods. This not only caused unnecessary biomass waste but also created environmental pressure in wood processing areas. With the development of biomass charcoal technology and carbonization industries, this material has increasingly been collected, classified, and transformed into higher-value energy and carbon products.
After collection, the raw material is processed through a cleaning system designed to remove mechanical impurities generated during wood processing, including soil, sand, stones, metal fragments, sanding residues, plastic pieces, oversized wood chips, and other unsuitable materials. The purification process combines screening, particle classification, and industrial metal separation systems to ensure a more uniform and stable raw material input.
The cleaned sawdust is then dried to a low moisture level before entering the briquetting stage using high-pressure screw extrusion combined with thermal heating technology. Under the combined effects of pressure and heat, wood particles naturally bond together and form dense biomass logs without using any chemical additives or binding agents.
The briquettes are subsequently processed through carbonization and high-temperature thermal refining to remove most remaining moisture, volatile compounds, natural wood oils, and organic impurities. The result is a premium clean-burning organic charcoal with low smoke, high heat output, and stable performance suitable for a wide range of applications including BBQ, restaurants, hospitality, and selected industrial thermal uses.

THALOCA supplies five main product groups: Wood Charcoal, Sawdust Charcoal, Coconut Charcoal Products, Binchotan-Style White Charcoal, and Household Biomass Fuels such as Wood Pellets and Wood Sawdust Briquettes.
Each product has unique characteristics depending on its raw material and production technology. Wood charcoal is made from natural firewood. Sawdust charcoal offers high calorific value and long burning time. Coconut charcoal is ideal for BBQ and shisha applications. Binchotan is the premium category with high carbon content, almost no smoke, minimal odor, and exceptional burning performance.
Depending on the product and market requirements, THALOCA can provide technical specifications, laboratory test reports, FSC, SGS, Vinacontrol, and other certifications requested by customers.
Yes. We cooperate with SGS and other independent inspection organizations designated by customers during production, before packing, or before container loading.
Since 2008, THALOCA has been supplying charcoal and biomass fuel products to customers across Japan, South Korea, Australia, the Middle East, Europe, and many other international markets.
